So here's the Trethewey House Museum where the very first Steampunk Event was held and I did my reading. Aside from a mild case of the nerves, I think it went pretty well and I didn't mess up at all. Yay!
It was a small event which was fine by me. I'd never done one before so it was just perfect for getting my feet wet. I was invited back next year and I'm sure it will be bigger. I was also invited to take part in the Christmas craft fair. That should be fun!
I put a few books out along with my knitted rabbits and my greeting cards. I didn't sell any rabbits or cards but I did sell two books! That was awesome. I think I'll try to make some Steampunkie cards and bunnies for next time to help fill up my table. Hopefully my second book will be ready by then, too.
There was a lot of interesting things and people there. I'm not sure who it was, but a woman made this Chia Tea bicycle. It made Chia Tea while she rode around. Pretty ingenious if you ask me, you can never have enough tea.
Well, I've come to the conclusion that this marketing stuff isn't going to be as hard as I thought. I'm really glad I went to this event even though I only had 2 days to prepare. I'll go again next year and maybe I'll even dress up. Whoa, big talker, here!
